On Sunday, March 19, 2023, we decided to organize a day of popular sports for the 4 dates of the 20th anniversary in memory of Dax, Davide Cesare, who was stabbed to death in 2003 by fascists in Milan outside a pub.
On March 19 last year, Federico Martín Aramburù was killed in Paris by fascists, because of his opposition to racist insults against some migrant boys.
Federico Martìn was an argentine professional rugby player who retired in 2012 and had been living in France for years now.
During an evening at a bar, two shady figures had begun violently insulting and picking on some foreign-born boys who were passing by; Federico Martìn decided to intervene on behalf of the boys, but the attackers, in response, left the bar to get back behind the wheel of a car, and armed with a gun, they fired.
Federico Martìn will never get up again.
The murder is fascist, and who shot and killed is close to the Rassemblement National, the moderate name of the Front National, the far-right party led by Marine Le Pen, daughter of the better-known early fascist Jean-Marie.
The Rassemblement National is the transalpine equivalent of Fratelli d’Italia, the current ruling party in Italy. The combination of fascist murderers and political parties is increasingly evident, and in the specific case of the killing of Federico Martìn, one of the main indicted for the murder in the past was released on bail, thanks to the payment of a French far-right party leader.
Fascism and racism are viruses, which continue to contaminate our existence, thanks in part to the bourgeois mass media, which often and willingly spread and bless the ideas of far-right parties, always leaving out their links with those who carry out squadrist and punitive actions. Those even go so far as to kill for racial hatred or murder those who oppose and fight this on a daily basis.
A year ago we squatted an abandoned field in Milan and brought it back to life, exactly on March the 19th, in memory of Dax; this year we will organize a big day of popular sports for the 20th anniversary of his death, also on March 19, in memory of Dax, Federico Martìn, Fausto, Iaio, Renato, Clement, Carlos, Alexis… and the list could be very long! In memory of all those who sacrificed their lives, killed by fascists, police and the state.
We would also like to dedicate the day to all repressed comrades, and to those who are currently living their daily lives in jail, and in spite of everything, continue to fight with their heads held high.
With Alfredo on hunger strike to the bitter end against 41bis and hostile life imprisonment.
